The Drury South Crossing is designed to connect the Manukau Harbour and the Pahurehure Inlet via the Hingaea Stream.

Drury South Crossing required large-scale riparian and stormwater pond planting, with more than 250,000 plants established across the development. The site included waterways, stormwater ponds, and large open spaces, making it essential to deliver a project that balanced both ecological outcomes and development needs. Previous contractors had attempted the job without success, resulting in significant plant losses and delays to the wider development.

Where expertise delivers

Kauri Park Projects provided the breakthrough through effective project management and implementation. Working closely with the landscape architect, the planting palette was refined to slightly alter species selection, improving survival rates while still meeting consent requirements. With careful planning, precise delivery, and strong establishment practices, the project achieved official sign-off within just six months of planting.

This success demonstrates how Kauri Park Projects brings together expertise, coordination, and maintenance to ensure that large-scale commercial developments can achieve lasting environmental results.
